Halloween used to be a great day to find your soulmate

In some parts of Ireland, people celebrated Halloween by playing romantic fortune-telling games, according to Nicholas Rogers’ “Halloween: From Pagan Ritual To Party Night.” These games allegedly predicted who they’d marry, and when. Since Halloween, like Valentine’s Day, was one of the main celebrations of the year where young people could mingle with the opposite sex, it was also considered a good day to scope out a sweetheart. In America, young people, particularly girls, continued the old Irish tradition. Games, like bobbing for apples, tried to predict future romances, according to the “Oxford Encyclopedia of Food and Drink in America.”

Sutton Hoo

Sutton Hoo, near Woodbridge in Suffolk, is the site of  6th and early 7th century cemeteries. Most of this artefacts are now in the British Museum in London.
Sutton Hoo is of primary importance to early medieval historians because it sheds light on a period of English history that is on the margin between myth, legend, and historical documentation, it has been vital in understanding the Anglo-Saxon Kingdom of East Anglia and the whole early Anglo-Saxon period.The ship-burial, probably dating from the early 7th century and excavated in 1939, is one of the most magnificent archaeological finds in England for its size and completeness.The most significant artefacts from the ship-burialare were founded in the burial chamber, including a suite of metalwork dress fittings in gold and gems, a ceremonial helmet, shield and sword, a lyre, and many pieces of silver plate from Byzantium.

My Tv Series

I'm a person who doesn't like to see a lot of tv series but recently I'm starting to see some of them.
Last Sunday I ended to see the first season of "Supergirl", a tv series really beautiful about a girl, Kara Denvers, that is the cousin of Superman and her goal was to protect Clark Hent, Superman, but when she arrives on the Earth Clark is grew up. Supergirl decided to work for DEO, an association that protect the Earth from the aliens escaped from Fort Rose, the most important prision in the Universe.
An other tv series that is an Anime is Dragon Ball Super. Whoever has ever seen Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT see this new anime, It is a "sequel" of Dragon Ball Z and it's about battles with Gods and the resurretion of Freezer, one of the most evil enemis ever.
At the moment I'm watching the second season of Stranger Things" my favourite tv series, I love it and I hope to end this season as soon as possible.

My School

My school is called " Liceo Galileo Galilei " and is located in the city center ,opposite the Palazzo Ducale . My school is divided into two buildings :my building is located in the city center with the linguistic and musical lyceum, the other building is in another part of town with other courses . My school is very old but has modern equipment like two laboratories and interactive whiteboards in all the classrooms , a gym and an auditorium.In my classroom there are 18 students and they are all very nice and funny .My classmate is Vincenzo and he lives in Mondragone he is very nice and studious , we attended middle school together . I have known Vincenzo for three years ago , he is 14 years old , he has long hair and brown eyes .My teachers aren't bad .My Italian teacher is Menerella and she is very good . My English teacher is called La Torre she is very good and intelligent. I really like my school

The Origin Of My Name: Daniele
